Queen Elizabeth and an Ermine by jasminetoad Queen Elizabeth and an Ermine by jasminetoad
Queen Elizabeth the First - holding an ermine! I am a fan of Tudor and Renaissance portraits, and am a history buff, so I just had to do a Tudor style portrait of Queen Elizabeth holding an ermine! An ermine is a winter weasel often associated with royalty. This is my own original acrylic painting. ©Jasmine Becket-Griffith - prints are available at [link] and [link]*

Amazing coloring job, mate. Fantastic attention to detail.

How in the world did you manage to get that translucent spider-web-like neck-collar-thing to be visible while showing the blue trim underneath?
