Attracting Butterfliesby ~jasminetoad

I painted this piece specifically to help out Robin Sullins - many of us fantasy artists have donated these paintings to help raise money for her Relief Fund. Featuring one of my traditional liquid eyed faeries, I wanted to symbolize somebody emerging from the gloom with a bright gift (the flowers) attracting magic (the butterflies!). There is a sense of hope and a classic almost Rococo feel to this painting. 100% of the proceeds of the original acrylic painting goes to Robin's Relief Fund, prints & posters are now available! My own original acrylic painting, painted on a wood/masonite panel.

your work is absolutley amazing and im surprised you dont have a billion comments on this the subtlety in your colourwork, the hues int he eyes, the skin and the vibrancy of the butterflies are just gorgeous!
